Training Materials
The EMA recommends that each envelope manufacturing company have a comprehensive approach to employee training. In addition to the current methods and materials already developed by the individual company, the EMA offers training tools that provide valuable information and guidance on the envelope manufacturing process and employee safety. EMA views many of these tools as fundamental, and often critical, steps for your company to take in meeting your employee training goals. (All prices in U.S. dollars. Prices subject to change without notice.)

    Train the Trainer videotapes
Once a trainer is selected, the company has a formidable task: How do you train this trainer? To assist with this challenge, the EMA has purchased three tapes of an eight-tape series and the association makes the tapes available to its members for a three-week loan. The tapes address: "Planning for Skills Training," "Presentation Skills," and "Making Training Stick." Workbooks for each tape are also available. EMA has a sample set and encourages borrowers to buy a set of their own.

    Designing and Implementing Training Programs

This book also includes reprints of the previously published Core Curriculum (a suggested plan for what to include in an envelope manufacturing company's training program), the German Apprenticeship Program (a translation of the three-year curriculum for students in Germany who are studying to become "packaging materials mechanics"), and two articles, "Spotting Training Talent" and "Turning Technicians into Trainers" (to assist the company in deciding who should conduct the training).
